In addition to the House and Senate Periodical Galleries, workspace is also available inside the Capitol Visitor Center-the gallery’s annex, HVC-125, and rooms HVC-106 and HVC-107. To accommodate correspondents with early deadlines, keys may be signed out upon request. Please see a gallery staff member for more information. Correspondents are reminded that: No workspace or phone is reserved for any organization or individual. No more than one space in each gallery office may be used by any one publishing organization if others are waiting for workspace. Use of gallery offices is restricted to coverage of current Congressional actions. You may not use the gallery to write about non-Congressional hearings or press conferences. Due to an increasing demand for workspace, as a courtesy, please consider storing your computer if you’ll be away from it for a long period of time. General Protocol Attire House and Senate rules require appropriate professional attire when Congress is in session. Decorum Correspondents are expected to maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times. Speaker's Lobby Accredited correspondents can request to see House members in the Speaker’s Lobby, located directly behind the Speaker’s Chair in the House Chamber on the second floor. Interview requests are placed, in writing, at the House staff desk in the Speaker’s Lobby. House staff will then notify members of interview requests. Items Permitted in the Speaker’s Lobby Pen and pad and handheld recording devices ARE permitted. Please leave food and drink, cell phones, or large bags in the gallery.
